Science
The 7th grade science curriculum introduces students to the proper implementation of scientific processes and practices. Students will apply these skills throughout the year, focusing on topics such as chemistry, characteristics of life and genetics, ecosystems, and body systems.
The 8th grade science curriculum is centered around earth science. Students will reinforce the application of scientific processes and practices as they apply to such topics as astronomy, geology, fossils, geologic time, and natural selection. Students will explore Earth’s weather and regional climate on a relevancy timeline.
Lab safety procedures and continued reinforcement of metric system measurement are
followed throughout the year.
